Keep your deck functional, not flammable

PorchThat beautiful redwood deck that you relax on during the summer can be a hazard when wildfire strikes. In the Home Ignition Zone, decks pose a threat to the safety of your home, but Steve Quarles, a senior scientist at the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) Research Center offers tips for making sure your deck is Firewise and non-combustible.
